Brain Mapping

How has pain affected your brain? We find out how by utilizing an evidence-based neuro-focused assessment that allows us to assume a developmentally sensitive, neurobiology-informed approach to clinical problem solving. We combine this assessment with the story you shared with us and then together examine areas of your brain that may be underdeveloped due to  adverse experiences throughout your lifespan.



Intervention

We collaboratively engage in treatment planning and tailor specific interventions using your individualized history and functional brain map  to optimize parts of the brain that are underdeveloped or compromised because of adverse events. This approach often involves patterned, repetitive somatosensory activities that help develop the individual's capacity for self-regulation before moving on to therapies that will help with more relational-related problems and then developmentally further into more cognitive-behavioral based approaches.
